MARCO HYDRAULIC CAPSTANS
Model W1936-Capstan Winch
Steel spur gear reduction, no brass worm gears here!
Gear Reducer: Marco Model G 0800

I had ten, I now have two remaining, (eight sold to five happy customers).
These are un-used government surplus, new old stock, all but one in original shipping containers. I have the drawings and parts lists.

Horizontal cat head. Deck Mounted, four bolt pattern is 10" x 7".
Spur Gear reduction box is 38.24:1. Dennison Hydraulic Motor driven with 1" NPTF ports in and out. Two with 6.5" hard anodized aluminum heads. Weight approx 170 pounds each. All fasteners are stainless steel. Pipe plugs are stainless steel. Name tag and rivets are stainless steel. Body is cast, possibly ductile iron or maybe cast steel. These require one gallon of SAE 90 gear oil each and hydraulic power of 8 GPM @ 2900 psi ( net difference in pressure across motor ports).

Rated at 4100 pounds single line pull @ 87 feet per minute.

On these units you can take the cat head off one side and put it on the other, currently set up as left hand assembly (as shown below). Also you can mount them in a vertical head arrangement instead of a horizontal orientation by moving the vent, fill and drain plugs. To mount it in a vertical orientation on the deck, you have to mount it off of a sub-base (maybe a large piece of angle iron). If mounted really close to the deck, you have to remove the four bolts that hold the motor on and rotate the motor 90 degrees so the port/piping clears the deck (all this is a five minute job), be sure to put the four bolts back in that hold the motor on.

Complete parts list available upon request by FAX. $4,900 each, Quantity discounts apply, ships boxed at about 200 pounds each, motor freight class 85, subject to prior sale, FOB Broussard, LA 70518. Current location: Inside warehouse Manufacturer's website is www.marcoseattle.com
